In order to encourage the fusion of sports and culture and to facilitate social interaction among participants from various regions of Spain, the First Dragon Boat Veterans Festival<\/strong> was held on Saturday, October 7th, at Magallanes Park in Seville. The event, co-organized by the BCS Sevilla association, CDP Sevidragon, and Fnac, welcomed a maximum of 400 athletes hailing from across the country, with its main objective being the promotion of this sporting discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n

Friendly Dragon Boat Competitions Across Spain<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The festivities commenced at 9:00 am with a series of amicable competitions, featuring the active participation of 18 distinct clubs hailing from various regions of Spain. These contests encompassed 150-meter races across several categories, such as mixed, open, women’s, BCS, and paradragon. In the exhilarating sport of dragon boat racing, each vessel was crewed by either 10 or 20 paddlers who had to synchronize their strokes to the beat of a drum positioned at the boat’s front.<\/p>\n\n\n

Gastronomy and Live Music<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the competitions, the festival continued with a tasting of the event’s signature dish: paella, cooked by various radio and television personalities, under the guidance of chef Dani del Toro. And what better way to digest the meal than by moving to the beat of live music! The afternoon continued at FNAC Live Sevilla with performances by Dstyler\u00eda, Alex Wall, Ni\u00f1a Polaca, Puerta Falsa, and \u00c1lvaro Arcos.<\/p>\n\n\n
